01/04 - Retail design office moves to Wolverhampton

Well, it only seems like yesterday that we were announcing the launch of our new retail office in Walsall (and following on from that, this website!), but 6 months have passed and now we are on the move to larger premises. The new office is in the Creative Industries Centre on the Wolverhampton Science Park.

The new office has room for the planned appointment of some more Retail Design Consultants, due to the success of the venture. The M54 and M6 motorways are just a stone’s throw away, providing excellent access.

Our retail office is managed by Julie Griffiths, our Retail Design Manager. 01/02 - AutoCAD 2006 training for only £200??!

Would you like to learn the tricks and tools of AutoCAD 2006? We have just launched a series of 2-day introductory training courses for only £100 + VAT per person, per day. The course covers new features like Dynamic Blocks & Heads-up design.

Training sessions will be held at our Authorised Training Centre in Great Yarmouth, and include free course material and lunch.

01/01 - StoreSpace pilot project

Hot on the heels of the news of StoreSpace, our new AutoCAD add-on for retailers, we can tell you that Lloyds Pharmacy has signed up for the store planning application, and a major Plc retailer has just commissioned a pilot project! Watch this space for more news…

01/12 - CADS unveils AutoCAD add-on StoreSpace for store planners

We are pleased to announce the release of StoreSpace, an application for all store planners using AutoCAD. StoreSpace will help store planners save time and money by defining model stores and allowing them to compare new designs against both these models and well performing stores.

We are able to help retailers set-up store formats by location, size and/or socio-economic and cultural demographics based on their needs and information. When planning a new store, planners can access StoreSpace, select a format to work from, then place all the necessary fixtures and fittings into the drawing automatically. StoreSpace is designed to compare the new store with the model to analyse any fixture discrepancies, plus highlight all costs involved (by assigning prices to each fixture type).

Initial feedback from demonstrations made so far is excellent, so watch this space!
